Improvement of Teachers’ education is a contemporary issue of great concern to the educationalist. The need of training for secondary and primary school teacher has become a crying need in west Bengal , and there has been a long-felt need of establishing new B.Ed college in Hisabi (Awalsiddhi), Amdanga in north 24 parganas where the majority of the population belong to S.C, S.T, O.B.C and Minority categories.

To meet this demand the ‘SHIKHA’ trust came forward, promoted by sense of philanthropic mission to provide quality education to would be teachers, the Trust setup ‘Amdanga Adarsha Teachers’ Training College’ . situated in a cold, quiet and serene atmosphere, the College enjoy the unique advantage of a peaceful academic environment .

The college also provides D.El.Ed course for would be primary and upper primary teachers.
